He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Assman and Anna Assman; his brother Gordon; his wife Eleanora; and his sons, Don and Calvin.
He is survived by: his daughter Penny; his daughter-in-law Sharon; his brother Harald (Orma); his grandchildren, Kevin (Jessica), Daryle (Kirsten), Scott (Brill), Trisha, Curtis (Jessi) and Mandy (Joel); and his great grandchildren, Easton, Declan and Jordyn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
