With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Howard Sanftleben (Melville, Saskatchewan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis; his son Stacy; his parents, George Sanftleben and Hazel Sanftleben; his brother Mel Sanftleben (Joan); his brother-in-law Walter Wernicke; his parents-in-law, Ole and Elizabeth Ziebart; and his siblings-in-law, Pius Ziebart (Shirley Anne), Dennis Ziebart, Paul Ziebart, Joe Ziebart (Emma), Bob Ziebart, Jerry Ziebart and Dorothy Logan (Tom).

He is survived by: his grandson Trevor (Phyllis); his great grandchild Jessica (Michael); his granddaughter Lisa (Dave); his great grandchildren, Jaida (Dylan) and Kaitlyn (Chol); his granddaughter Nancy; his great grandchild Boston; his grandson Nicolas; his sister Lois Wernicke; and his siblings-in-law, Jean, Evelyn, Florence, Sheila, Elsie and Bill Ziebart (Linda).

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations in honour of Howard's name to the following: Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
