She was predeceased by: her significant other Ben Rookes; her parents, Bert Burgess and Cora Burgess; her parents-in-law, Les and Julia Rookes; and her siblings, Raymond Burgess, Lawrence Burgess, George Burgess and Gladys Bryce (Eddie).

She is survived by: her daughters, Marilyn Magnuson (Dennis) and Shirley MacKenzie (Greg); her grandchildren, Michael MacKenzie (Adele), Dean MacKenzie (Theresa), Lee MacKenzie (Camille), Jenna Oesch (Brendon) and Alisha Magnuson; her great grandchildren, Mikayla, Tyler, Grace, Jeremy, George, Abigail and David; and her siblings, Bob Burgess (Dorothy), Donny Burgess (Carolina), Maynard Burgess, Dora Greening and Mary Burgess. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
