We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2026, at the age of 91, Mary Derkatch of Mikado, Saskatchewan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Samuel Boychuk; her husband Laurie Derkatch of Mikado, SK; her son Kevin; her mother Anne Boychuk (Kushnir); her in-laws, Joseph and Olga Derkatch; and her siblings-in-law, Edward German and Jean Boychuk.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl and Derek (Robyn); her brothers, Bill Boychuk (Marge), Larry Boychuk and Ron Boychuk; and her sisters-in-law, Alice German and Jean Kobylka (Allen). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home (128 2 Ave, Canora, SK S0A0L0). A burial was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at the Sliding Hills Christian Cemetery.
Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Mary Derkatch.
