Nestor Ostafie Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2022, at the age of 85, Nestor Ostafie of Mikado, Saskatchewan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ostafie and Rosie Ostafie; his siblings, Caroline Ostafie, Victor Ostafie (Mary), Albina Ostafie, Alex Ostafie (Mabel), Stella Uhryn (Miller), Julian Ostafie, Marcel Ostafie and Orest Ostafie; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Shalkowsky and Peter Antoniuk.

He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Sproule; his siblings, Emil Ostafie (Vicky), Stephania Shalkowsky, Emily Kyba and Olga Antoniuk; and his sisters-in-law, Olga Ostafie, Mary Ostafie and Violet Ostafie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family and friends.

Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora Hospital Auxiliary or to the Sliding Hills Christian Cemetery, Mazeppa, SK, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Nestor Ostafie.
