He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Bird; his parents, Amelia Bird and William Pruden; his children, Wilfred Jr. Halkett and Dallas Halkett; and his siblings, Daniel Wilson Bird, Hinez Bird, Roy Bird, Ricky Bird, Clara Nelson, Priscilla Peters and Melinda Bird.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Bird, Amil Bird, Abel Bird, William Bird and Angie Bird-Smith; his brother Lenny Bird; and his nieces, Pearl Peters (Ron Umperville) and Patty Anne Bird. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
