He was loved and cherished by many people including : his father Harvey Roy; his grandparents, Urbain, Rhea Roy, William and Mildred Hancock; his mother Jackie; his sisters, Renee, Kelly (Ian) and Michelle (Brian); his nieces, Jess (Stacey), Tara, Carley, Aubrey and Meredith; his nephew Sam; his great-nieces, Abby and Kailey; and his great-nephew Jase. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernie's name may be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital c/o the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2.
