He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim and Irene; his mother-in-law Doris Rogers; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Stirton, Joan Keller and Gary Keller.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his daughters, Tamra Nichols (Shae), Joanne Calvert (Jeff), Holly Stirton (Kyle Alexander), Katie Sira (Warren) and Sara Stirton (Logan Maltais); his grandchildren, Olivia, Kael, Ava Nichols, Atley, Rowan, Lilah Calvert, Rose, Clark Alexander, Savannah, Jacob Sira and Hazel Maltais; his brothers, Barry and Scott Stirton; and his siblings-in-law, Bev Rousell (Glen) and Tom Rogers (Sandra).
