He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Aikens and Gladys Aikens; his daughter Aletha Raby; his son-in-law Normand Raby; his wife Mary; his grandson Christopher; and his siblings, Elgin "Lorne", Glenn and Nora Meek.

He is survived by: his children, Glenda and Donald (Taleathahh); his grandson Peter Raby; and his sister Joyce Jennings.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
