He was predeceased by: his parents, Ovila Petit and Hulda Petit; and his siblings, Edward Petit (Dora), Henry Petit (Grace), Marie Lloyd (Clayton) and Wilford Petit (Rachael).
He is survived by: his wife Leone; his children, Allison Shillington (Trent) and Darren Petit (Dori-Anne); and his grandchildren, Jynel Shillington, Bret Shillington (Madi), Alanda Smith (Zeb), Reece Shillington (Catherine), Nikki Shillington and Tyler Petit (Che).
