He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Bengert (Schergevitch) and Karl Bengert; his sisters, Louise Dauk (Bengert) and Celestina Miller (Bengert); his brother-in-law Harold Miller; and his niece Claudette.
He is survived by: his wife Leona; his brother-in-law Irwin Dauk; his nieces, Joan Miller, Marina Thomson (Forrest), Mary-Lynn Miller and Laura-Lee Miller Coward (Tom); his goddaughter AnnMarie Bergeron (Joanne); his nephews, Gerald (Brigette) and Pierre; his great-nieces, Claire Thomson (Corey), Stephanie Thomson (Justin), Jenna Sattler (Kelvin), Sarina Noftall-Miller, Emma Koleman-Miller and Christina Koleman-Miller; and his godsons, Matthew Thomson, Marc Miller, Nathan Miller (Meggie), Karl Miller (Deanne) and Andrew Miller (Angela). He is also survived by his sister Louise's grandchildren.
