He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Margaret; his stepmother Theresa; his siblings, Margaret (Earl), Catherine (Jack), Frances (Joe), Caroline, Helen (John), Irene, Ernie (Vivian) and Michael; and his stepsister Martha (Michael).

He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Lyle (Lois), Lana (Ken), Michael (Lynn), Mervin (Chere), Lloyd (Sharon) and Melinda; his sister Agnes; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Mary, Ileen, John, Nick (Joyce), Wally (Phyllis) and Betty (Garry). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
