She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shanko and Lily Shanko; her husband Walter; and her siblings, Edward, Lena, Alvina, Elda, Lawrence and Enid.
She is survived by: her children, Richard (Marg), Elaine (Don) and Terry (Heather); her grandchildren, Jeff (Sandra), Leanne (Byron), Susan (Jason), Jason (Patti), Kyle (Dani), Adam (Kendra) and Tom (Erin); her great grandchildren, Amanda, Karlie, Keabyn, Jordyn, Tyler, Kaden, Jeremy, Jace, Jada, Jude, Ash, Ivy, Brody and Brooklyn; and her sister-in-law Ann Hobbs.
Donations in Eleanor's memory can be made to the Shiner's Hospital for Sick Children.
