He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lawrence and Lyla Lawrence; his siblings, Viola Robinson, Phyllis Hellings, Elsie Straub and Stan; his close friend Sylvia Gooding; and his sister-in-law Mildred Lawrence.

He is survived by: his daughter Sheryl LaRochelle (Randy); his granddaughters, Natasha (Corey), Marissa and Mariah; and his great grandchildren, Kylie and Kaylee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and one cousin.
