He was predeceased by: his son Ryan; his parents, Jim and Viola; and his parents-in-law, Margie and Ken Read.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Tyler Bennett (Rachelle) and Brittany Loeppky (Tyler); his granddaughters, Sophie and Brielle; his siblings, Bob Bennett (Gladys) and June Heise (Randy); and his sisters-in-law, Penny Husum (Barry) and Carol Read (Pauly). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in Jim's name may be made to Aylesbury Hall, Chamberlain Cemetery Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
