He was predeceased by: his wife Erna "Ernie" (Schatz); his parents, Henry Kahrs and Margaret Kahrs; and his sister Helen Hume. He is survived by: his nephew Alex Hume; and also, Emil Schatz, Kathy Schatz, Lorne Schatz, Edith Volk, Lilly Keller and Alfred Keller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
