He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Hammel; and his son Robert. He is survived by: his daughter Joann Kirkpatrick (Allan); his daughter-in-law Kathryn Thome; his grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, Cody, Jasmine and Samara; his great grandchildren, Seth, Hayden, Emily, Lyndsay, Ethan and Ivy; and his siblings, John Thome (Sophie) and Rosalia Brecht (Richard).
