He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Chuck Woolford; his nephew Guy Woolford; his sister-in-law Shirley Gordon; and his parents, Gilbert Overby and Mary Overby.

He is survived by: his spouse Loretta; his children, Lori Hovington (Dave), Jo Overby and Troy Overby (Lisa); his grandchildren, Marcus Hovington, Alexa Riediger (Craig), Chandra Hovington (Brett), Ty Overby, Rylyn Overby, Joshua Overby and Finn Overby; his great grandchildren, Violet Cornelson and Ethan Riediger; his sister Delores Scarfe (Reg); and his brother-in-law Norm Gordon. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
