He was predeceased by: his wife Wilhemine Swanston; his parents, Walter and Iris; and his sister Lillian Firth. He is survived by: his former wife Violet Neamtu; his sister Lois McMillan; his children, Connie Johnson, Colleen Johnson, Keith Johnson (Cheryl) and Craig Johnson; and his grandchildren, Leah, Terah, Brian, Luke and Mark. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
