He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Joel and Mildred Joel; his wife Lana O'Hern Joel; his brother Darol Joel; his granddaughter Breanna Bowers; his siblings, Jerry Joel, Linda Joel (Kirk Baird) and Jane Borycki (Gordon); his son Doug Joel (Cheryl); his grandson Jonathan Joel (Taylor); his great grandchild Myles; his grandchildren, Danielle Joel, Jessica Joel (Keegan) and Corleen Bannerman (Blake); his great grandchildren, Brett, Josh and Cole Bannerman; his stepdaughter Brandi Bowers (Daryl); his stepgrandson Brendan Bowers; his stepdaughter Becki Pawliw (Aron); and his stepgrandchildren, Mara, Ruby and Linley Pawliw.
