He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Taylor and Dorothy Taylor (Brown); his parents-in-law, Art and Helen Patterson; his siblings-in-law, Jack Patterson and Cathy Patterson; and his nephew Brian Taylor.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Patterson; his daughter Debbie; his grandchildren, Danica, James and Peter; his son Dean; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Houslander; his grandchildren, Kate and Matthew; his daughter Leanne (Don Blake); his grandchildren, Kyle and Quinn; his siblings, Patricia (Al Orosz), Marion (Jim Holman) and John (Caroline); and his siblings-in-law, Bob Patterson (Nancy) and Joan Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Royal Canadian Legion, Moose Jaw Branch #59.
