He was predeceased by : his wife Ute; and his parents, Erwin Sooker and Martha Sooker. He is survived by : his son Peter (Carol); his grandchildren, Jodel (Desiree) and Aron; his daughter Connie (Laurence); his grandchildren, Nicholas (Sonya), Landon (Tianna) and Rylan; his great grandchildren, Reese and Ryker; and his siblings, Joachim and Marlies (Andreas). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
