He was predeceased by: his wives, Anna Heide of Moosomin and Ann Heide (Braun); his siblings, Katherina, Anne-Marie, Helen Toews, Hannah Loewen, Peter and Johnny Heide; his brothers-in-law, Ben Loewen and Elmer Friesen; and his parents, Peter Heide and Anna Heide (Heinrichs).

He is survived by: his sister Betty Friesen of Cochrane, AB; his siblings-in-law, Trudy Heide of Beaumont, AB and Jack Toews of Altona, MB; his children, Frances of Calgary, AB, David Glenn (Patti) of Moosomin, SK, Judy (Doug) of Victoria, BC, Mark (Terri) of White Rock, BC, Sheila (Dave) of Moosomin, SK and Murray of Calgary, AB; and his grandchildren, Kelsey (Kirsten), Riley (Khammi), Travis (Amy), Garret (Ellisse), Nicholas (Summer), Joseph (Erin), Christy, Aaron (Kailey), Randine (Ian) and Jordee (Travis). He is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren.
