He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Herbert and Robert Herbert; his wife Beatrice; his grandchildren, Tristin and Kurtis; his sister Mavis; and his daughter-in-law Lori.

He is survived by: his children, Susan (Tim), Grant, Janet, Link, Tim (Carey), Lori (Brian), Steven (Elaine) and Shelley (Jim); and his sisters, Iris, Sheila and Jean (Jack). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
