He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Peterson and Elaine Peterson of Tompkins, SK; and his in-laws, Edward and Violet Olson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his daughters, Megan Peterson and Melanie Peterson; his brothers, Jerry Peterson (Dawnette) and Tim Peterson (Tanya); and his sister-in-law Caralee Laturnus (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation in Roy's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Box 2414, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4. Alternatively, any donations to the family's home renovation fund would be much appreciated as Roy left several projects unfinished.
