He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Maurer and Margaretha Maurer (Bauer); his wife Lillian Hollinger; his brothers, Fred, Willie and Arlin; his siblings-in-law, Ferdinand, Lenard and Gladys; his siblings' children, Loni, Lana and Bradley; Wilhelm and Martha Hollinger (Sabirsh).
He is survived by: his children, Barry Maurer (Carol) of Melville and Denise Maurer of Saskatoon; his grandchildren, Scott Maurer (Ashley) of Neudorf and Tamara Maurer (Brent Machula) of Winnipeg; his great grandchildren, Lily, Sophie, Nathan and Andi; his sisters, Florence Gottfried (Lorne) and Isabel Gattinger (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Doreen Maurer, Vera Maurer, Evelyn Maurer, Elton Hollinger (Wanda), Roy Gattinger, Arleen Hollinger and Verena Hollinger.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (205 Young St, Neudorf, SK S0A2T0).
