He is survived by : his daughters, Lise (Guy), Monique (Mark) and Murielle; his grandchildren, Désirée, Christian, Chloé and Eric; and his sisters, Rachel and Rosanne.

“I have such fond memories of Richard. One time, your Mom and Dad gave me a ride to Saskatoon - was it to watch the Shakespeare play? He loved to tease me about my last name. Instead of saying "Merci", he would say "Merci-er". He was always so pleasant and kind. You are all in our thoughts and prayers! I wish I could have seen you girls again; it's been eons!
