It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nellie Matiece of Norquay, Saskatchewan, who passed away on September 21, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Metro Matiece; and her parents, Nicholi Gulak and Maria Gulak (Kobelka). She is survived by: her children, Wesley Matiece (Lena), Lori Hudye (Greg) and Livia Dahlin (Rick); and her grandchildren, Jana Danielson (Jason), Amanda Hudye, Nathan Hudye (Chrissy), Lisa Meadows (Mike), Rebekah Robb (Chris) and Katelyn Randall (Daniel). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, Canora, SK, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Nellie Matiece.
