He was predeceased by: his parents, Lymon Getten and Mary Getten; and his brother Earl Parks. He is survived by: his brother Alfred Getten (Ruth); his niece Donna Painter; his sister Christina Tesch; his nephew Perry McCullough (Ashela); and his niece Lorrie McCullough (Eric). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
