He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Tootoosis Sr. and Jenny Thunderchild; his siblings, Jacob Tootoosis, James Tootoosis Jr., Alexander Tootoosis and Bertha Tootoosis; and his nephews, Jake Tootoosis and Levi Tootoosis.

He is survived by : his sons, Corey Lewis (Viv), Jerome Lewis (Marlen), Desi Lewis (Sandra), Irwin Tootoosis, Quentin Tootoosis, Eli Tootoosis (Laura) and Terry Tootoosis; his adoptive daughter Raylene Moosomin; his stepdaughter Miranda Kennedy (Bruce); his grandchildren, Garren Tootoosis, Johnny Tootoosis and Shayleen Tootoosis; his brothers, Patrick Tootoosis, Richard Tootoosis (Gwen), Paul Tootoosis (Darlene), Clayton Sr. Tootoosis (Verna) and Wayne Tootoosis; and his grandchildren, Eli Tootoosis and Mitsuing-Tootoosis. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and adopted children.
