He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth MacLean and Wallace MacLean; his siblings-in-law, Adrian Bates and Marie MacLean; his niece Lisa Bradshaw; and also, Floyd and Mary Bradshaw.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his daughters, Heather Scholz (Richard) and Jaqueline MacLean (Gary Gareau); his grandchildren, Andrew, Mark, Paul Scholz, McKenna and Achala Gareau; his siblings, Donna Bates, Jim MacLean (Rose) and Francis MacLean (Mary); and his friends, Wayne Knopp, Gary Owens, Jerry Hudy, Joe MacDougall and Archie MacKinnon.
The last years were not easy ones for Neil as he suffered from depression and finally Alzheimer's.
