She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Watson, Annie Whyte, Cornelius and Jennie Verboom; her father Clinton Kenneth Whyte; her parent-in-law Harold; and her son-in-law Dean Culbert.

She is survived by: her husband Gordon; her mother Doris; her children, Dawn (David), Jody (Geof) and David (Cherry); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Colton, Noah-Dawn, Jonah, Joran, Brock, Alexander, Olivia, Johanna and Valentina; her siblings, Doreen (Terry) and Kenneth; and her close friends, Jennie Thordarson (Kristjan), Kerrie Boyd (Tim), Rosemary Stewart, Leone Sherk and Dave Keeler. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Donations in Marie's name can be made to the Deep South Pioneer Museum in Ogema, SK.
