He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Johnston and Marie Johnston; his grandparents, Andrew, Mabel Johnston, George and Lillie Werner; and his aunts and uncles, Leona Forbes (Ron), Dorothy McIver (Archie), Baby Johnston, Wilber Johnston (Magdalene), Lester Johnston (Lucille), George Johnston, Norman Johnston (Lillian), Gordon Johnston, Bob Harder and Kermit Hagman.
He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Andy Johnston (Carin), Brady Johnston and Mikayla Johnston (Adam); his grandchildren, Sakura Shepherd and Brian Johnston; his brother Bruce Johnston; his nieces, Lillie Johnston and Anne Johnston; and his aunts and uncles, Jean Johnston, Zelma Boyce, Maxine Wall (Frank), Shirley Hagman, Dorothy Harder, Rosalind McDonald and Clem Werner (Lorna). He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (1555 Memorial Dr, Swift Current, SK S9H5T8).
Donations on behalf of Brian may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, and the Canadian Lung Association – towards C.O.P.D.
