Lisa Dook wrote a sympathy message

“It was never on my radar as a teenager that Mrs. Stobee had a family. We were too busy trying to find our way in unusual times. She was strict, and yet kind. She took her responsibility seriously. It was no easy task, 260+ girls a semester. There were always whispers but never verified. It was only when I determinately decided to phone every Stobee in the country I found her. She was the first number I dialled. She giggled. I was touched by her stories of rescue and heartbreak. I was humbled”
