He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Sylvestre and Lucia Sylvestre (Lemaigre); his brother Ernest Sylvestre; his stepson Victor Taylor; his grandparents, Johnny Lemaigre and Monique Sylvestre; and his close friend Gerald Reigan.

He is survived by: his children, Kelly (Tommy), Lauren (Rick), Jesse (Jocelyne), Keisha (Alex) and Chris; his grandchildren, Paige, Tearyn, Leland, Rylee, Hannah, Hailey, Emily, Caydin, Victor and Victoria; and his siblings, Elmira Bekkattla, Delia Alberg (Kim), Leonard Sylvestre, Raymond Sylvestre, Nancy Netmaker Sylvestre, Wilbert Sylvestre (Eva), Lawerence Sylvestre (Rose), Eugenie Francios (Alexis) and Neal Netmaker Sylvestre (Jessica). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
