He was predeceased by : his son Sheldon Sayazie; his parents, Martin Sayazie and Anne Sayazie; his sister Celine Sayazie; his nieces and nephews, Floyd Cook, Bruce Robillard, Doreen Sha, Oulle and Shelia Robillard; and his siblings-in-law, Daniel Robillard and Eileen Sayazie.

He is survived by : his wife Pauline Sayazie; his children, Jenny, Jonas, Samantha, Dennis, Sheena, Kristen, Jennifer, May, Carrie and Junior; his grandchildren, Sheldon, Andrew, Andy, Kristy, Katherine, Rayden, Markus, Jake, Jayden and Abigail; his siblings, Maryanne Robillard (Boniface), Maryjane Cook, Dora Sha (Thomas), Yvonne Sayazie (Amanda), Phillip Sayazie (Nancy), Donald Sayazie (Maryjane), Jimmy Sayazie (Georgina), Modest Sayazie (Coreen), Joe Sayazie, Matthew Sayazie (Jenny), Peter Sayazie (Maryanne) and Marvin Sayazie; his aunt Josephine Seegurts; and his friends, Martin Hansen, Peter Disain, Archie Robillard, Orest Robillard and Bart Tsannie. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
