He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Roy and Florence Roy (Gareau); his son Colin Roy; his brothers, George Roy, Roger Victor Roy and Roger Alfred Roy; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Roy and Alex Georget.

He is survived by: his children, Jodie Tiegen (Clay), Burton Roy (Jessica) and Teage Roy (Rachael); and his siblings, Robert Roy (Vikky), Fred Roy (Debbie), Rupert Roy (Doreen), Philip Roy (Antonio Arribas), Lucille Georget, Lily Melynk (Jack), Roseanne Denis (Andre) and Muriel Roy (Claudette). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
