He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecile Dorion and Maurice Dorion; his in-laws, Arthur and Alice Ballantyne; his sisters, Yolande Ballantyne and Rose Dorion; his nephews, Wilfred B., Cecil D., Solomon B., Josiah B. and Baby Angel Boy D.; his grandchildren, Cayven B., Arrow M., Nikita and Angel Boy D.; his grandparents, Mary, Philip Ballantyne, John, Suzzette Dorion, Mary Ann Charles, Rose and Adam Ballantyne; and his close friend Etienne Ballantyne Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Julie Louisa Dorion; his children, Lionel Jr. D. (Gailynn), Clyde B. (Ashley), Allan D., Bridget B. (Jeffrey), Katrina D. (Joseph), Harriet D. (Dwayne), Lanel D. and Tayvia D.; his siblings, Sheldon Dorion (Pamela) and Eleanor Ballantyne (David); his brother-in-law Gilbert I.
