She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Highway and Adam Highway; her siblings, Delphina Highway, Horace Highway and Norman Custer; her nieces and nephews, Candace Custer, Margie Cook-Morin, Elmer Jobb, Philip Highway, Glen Jobb and Gavin Highway; and her aunts and uncles, Philip Highway, Joe Highway (Palagi), William Highway, Eli Highway, John Baptist, Anne McCallum, Margaret Michel, Rosalie Merasty and Bernadette (Edward Ballantyne).
She is survived by: her children, John Descalchuk (Jessica) and Marie Descalchuk; her grandchildren, Justin Descalchuk, Jake Descalchuk, Joseph Descalchuk, Jordan Descalchuk, Ryan Pratt, Adam Pratt, Tarmaine Custer, Hubert Descalchuk, Vanessa Descalchuk, Keely-Shaye Taniskishayinew, Angel Kishayinew, Staci Kishayinew, Branden Descalchuk, Destiny Ermine and Audrey McKenzie; and her siblings, Harold Highway, Ivan Highway, Adam Jr. Highway, Bobby Custer, Joan Custer, Joyce Jobb, Victoria Ballantyne, Isabel Bighetty, Karen Highway, Margie Highway, Vivian Highway, Georgina Highway and Elizabeth Custer. She is also survived by her 9 great-grandchildren.
A prayer will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the River Park Funeral Home (301 River St W, Prince Albert, SK S6V 2Z3). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church (1108 Bonald St, Pelican Narrows, SK S0P0E0).
