He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Merasty and Nancy Merasty (Linklater); and his brother-in-law Steve Ballantyne. He is survived by: his siblings, Cecilia Ballantyne, Gloria Bird and Joseph Merasty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
