She was predeceased by: her parents, George Boettcher and Mary Boettcher; her father-in-law Martin Altstadt; and her brother-in-law Ken Brown. She is survived by: her husband Everett Altstadt; her children, Casey Christante and Susan Ruszkowski (Perri); her grandchildren, Reagan (Alexis), Alisha (Tyrel) and Jess; her daughter Cindy Petreman (Stacey); her grandchildren, Laine and Jazlyn; her adoptive child Stephanie Sasakamoose (Ritchie); her child Ellera; her adoptive children, Jamie Goodin and Justin Goodin; her siblings, Barb Debruin (Art), Sharon Brown, Russell Boettcher (Heather), Eric Boettcher, Fred Boettcher and Janet Altstadt (Mitchell); her mother-in-law Ruth Altstadt; and her brother-in-law David Altstadt (Julia). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of tributes, memorial donation may be made in memory of Penny to the choice of the donor.
