He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda and Nelson; his siblings, Nancy and Bill; his siblings-in-law, Marlene and Jack; and also, Jens and Magdalena.

He is survived by: his wife Alma; his children, Gail (Tim), Cheryl (Willy), Hazel (Rob), Ken (Kathy), Nelson (Anne), Glenda (Dave), Eric (Cindy) and Greg (Lleanne); and his siblings, Vivian and Jim (Judy). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Mont St Joseph Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Anglican Diocese of Saskatchewan or to the charity of their choice.
