He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Larry" Sette and Mary Ballantyne; his siblings, Larry MacLennan, Sharon Blue Water, Carol MacLennan, Georgina Ballantyne and Donna Ballantyne; and his nephews, Adrian Ballantyne and Tyrell H. W Whitefish.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Cote, Azalea Sutherland, Mihekun Ballantyne and Mary-Lynn Hunt; his brothers, Vernon MacLennan (Rose) and Richy Ballantyne (Ester); his nieces, Nicole Ballantyne, Julia Ballantyne and Jeanita Whitefish; and his nephew Corey Ballantyne.
