He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby; his parents, Walter Horachek and Vera Horachek; his siblings, Van, Joe Horachek and Anne (Murry Fish); and also, Joe Linger (Mary), Tony Linger (Clarice) and Jerry Linger (Susie).

He is survived by: his children, Marvin Horachek (Dianne) of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK, Terry Horachek of Prince Albert, SK, Elaine Ritchie (Jack) of Zealandia, SK, Wayne Horachek (Chris) of St. Albert, AB, Lonny Horachek (Alice) of Prince Albert, SK and Ricky Horachek of Saskatoon, SK.; his grandchildren, Tony Horachek, Michael Courchaine (Donna Maire), Benjamin Horachek (Lesya), Adam Horachek (Katelynn), Brycian Horachek (Shania), Brendan Horachek, Roxane Courchaine (Colin Behm) and Richelle Horachek; his great grandchildren, Ashton, Jace Courchaine, Brynlee Horachek, Phoenix Horachek and Roe Horachek; his sister Ollie Folstad (Mel); and his sisters-in-law, Anne Horachek and Antoinette Horachek.
