He was predeceased by : his brother Dustin Stone; his grandfather Bernard Hayunga; and his uncle Scotty Hayunga. He is survived by : his parents, Lisa Stone and Lyndon Stone; his brother Cody Stone (Shelby); his pets, Alfie and Ike of Prince Albert; his grandparents, Joyce, Norman Stone of Tisdale, SK and Mary Hayunga of Prince Albert; his uncles, Rodney Stone (Aunt Sandy) of Tisdale, SK and Randall Stone (Aunt Pam) of Sicamous, BC; his cousins, Dallas Revenko (Scott) and Phoenix Giffuni (Yohants); and his children, Cole, Hadely, Jennifer Powell (Matt), Page, Blayke, Kalegh Stone, Beau, Emmerson, Luke, Justin Hayunga, Cohen, Miller and Chelsea Lanning.

In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made in Ty's memory to Gateway Trail Blazers c/o 467 Adams Crescent, Prince Albert, SK S6V 7K6.
