He was predeceased by: his wife Magdalene; his sons, Allan and Merlin; his parents, Peter Swanson and Mabel Swanson; and his brother Andy.
He is survived by: his children, Lois Simpson (Gord) of Christopher Lake and Jack Swanson of Calgary; and his sisters, Caroline Codling of Abbottsford and Helen Willison of Calgary. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
