It is with sadness that the passing of Yvonne McKenzie in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is shared. Yvonne, born on December 26, 1956, passed away on September 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Alex Charles; her parents, Phillip Mckenzie and Elise Mckenzie; her grandparents, George, Betsy Mckenzie, Rosie and Edward Settee; her siblings, Edward, Shirley and Sharon; her nieces, Cynthia, Melissa, Pamela, Julie and Andrea; her nephew Richie; and her stepson Andrew Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Mckenzie, Alex Mckenzie (Naomi Moriss), Jason Mckenzie (Chantelle) and Devin Mckenzie; her grandchildren, Jaxson and Julissa; her stepchildren, Debbie Henderson, Norman Charles, Lawrence Charles, Marlene Charles, Darcy Charles, Virgil Ermine and Stacey Ermine; her grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, Jodi, Jaden, Jenson, Madison, Mia and Arie; her great grandchildren, Kenzie, Shaylee, Mae and Jozy; her siblings, Caroline, Gloria, Beverley (Kevin) and Sandy Ernest (Phyllis); and her daughter-in-law Samantha Halkett. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles.
A wake was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the White Band Hall, in Little Red River Reserve. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
