He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice and Percy; his stepmother Dorothy; and his brothers, Gordon, William, Robert and James.

He is survived by: his wife Louise; his son Paul Cochran (Rosemary Spurll); his grandchildren, Rafael Munoz (Courtney Ackland) and Gaun Cochran (Chen-Wen Tsai); his child Murney Rinholm (Brent); his grandchildren, Ty Rinholm (Courtney Dupper) and Atle Rinholm; and his child Gaun Cochran (Holly).
