He is survived by: his mother Hazel Bitternose; his adoptive father Harvey; his children, Dana Akachuck, Leonda Switzer (Marcus), Caston Akan (Jalen), Jace and Lyndon Akan; and his siblings, Victor Fourclaws, Louis Akan (Donna), Sheryll Akan (Karl), Ken Akan, Joanne Akan, Margaret Kisikaw-Piyesis, Rhonda Akan and Wanda Rockthunder (Lorne). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and the many friends.
