He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Pascal Peigan and Mary Peigan (McGillis); his grandparents, David and Amelia Peigan; his uncles, Thomas and Willie Peigan; his siblings, Anthony, Lawrence, Johnny, Fred Peigan, Lena, Madeline and Ruth Peigan; his former wife Mable Mckay; his children, Kate Peigan (Kevin), Michael Peigan Jr. and Vivian Anaquod; and his children-in-law, Lindsay Cyr, Gary Haines, Elaine Pascal and Kelly Lerat.
He is survived by: his children, Gary, Lorraine, Lester (Marie), Lana (Ken), Brian and Melissa; his grandchildren, Tara (Henry), Heather (Scott) and Tony (Jamie); his siblings, Donald Peigan, Robert Peigan (Marlene) and Theresa Peigan; his children-in-law, Robert Anaquod and Lucy Starr; and his nieces, Brenda and Darlene Bellegarde. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 53 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great Great Grandchildren.
A wake was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Chief Ben Paskwa Memorial Hall, Pasqua First Nation (79 Main Street, Pasqua First Nation, SK S0G5M0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
